Day 418: Last Workout For 2007! Happy New Year!

G'day Shredders,

Happy New Year Shredders! The clock has just struck midnight here in Japan and I am having a very low-key NYE at my apartment in Osaka.

In fact this is my second low-key NYE in a row, except this year I have gone one better by having zero alcohol (last year I had one glass). I have decided that my M4 Shred Mission takes absolute precedence over any party.

Anyway, time sure does fly when you are having fun! Here we on New Year's Eve 2007 and I have finally gotten in my Lactic Acid Part 2 workout at Gold's Gym Juso (originally scheduled two days earlier)

While it was a solid workout today my mind did wander back to New Year's Eve last year when I was on Day 52 of Mission 1 getting in a similar Lactic Acid Training workout on the Gold Coast. What a coincidence! Check it out below.

N.B. Shredders I will be back later today (US Time) for the 1st Annual RTP Year In Review: 2007 where I'll look back on this year and share with you some mind-blowing stats!

N.B. In another separate post I will also outline some ideas on how we can rejuvenate the Shredder Council and incorporate the ShredderSphere & Group Shred elements into the bigger picture.

P.S. Below is the YouTube version of the Week 1: Push-Up Challenge video that I originally uploaded yesterday.

*Important:

Feel free to use this plan as a template that you can follow. However, this plan is is based on my own personal experience over 3 physique transformation missions. In other words, what works for me may not work for you in the same way.

Success in this game requires research, individual design, real-world testing, monitoring results and making adjustments when necessary. This is your responsibility, no one else can do it for you. However, if you'd like to research further the exact programs I have used (over my first 3 Missions) and will use for M4 Shred you can do so at the links below.

G'day Shredders,

Welcome to Shredder Sunday!

Shredder Sunday: Week 1 Challenge Video

N.B. For the time being I have limited this video to my blog. For all current Challenge hosts and participants please watch the video to the end where I give URL's and screenshots of your blogs. If you are cool with this (and would like to increase the accountability factor!) I'll upload this video to YouTube tomorrow. Please let me know in the comments section.

Christy's Water Challenge
Lilla's Clothing Challenge
Michael's Chin-Up Challenge
Tea's Push-Up Challenge

P.S. I tip my hat to Suzette for inspiring me to document my progress with a weekly video. For my Fellow Shredders, if you can document your progress with the above Challenges by doing a weekly video it will be very cool and I could link directly to your videos every edition of Shredder Sunday!

Shredder Council:
NYE Special Edition Coming Tomorrow

N.B. For current Shredder Council Members, I'll be uploading a New Year's Eve special edition tomorrow where I'll outline some ideas on how we can re-invigorate the Shredder Council for the New Year and also how we can finish the 84 Day Weekly Accountability Phase in style!

M4 Shred
Day 6 of 84

Nutrition: My nutrition was spot on today.

Training: I mistimed my run to the gym today as they were operating on holiday time and closed at 6:00PM! This is the first time I have actually missed a scheduled workout for as long as I can remember! However, I will make up for it tomorrow and put in a big one as it will be my last for 2008.

Day 416: A "Forced" Rest Day

G'day Shredders,

What a day! Even though today was a "forced rest day" from training (because my gym was closed) I was still busy on the technical side of things, i.e., my computer.

My computer has recently slowed to a crawl due to the computer's HD space being just about maxed out for the last couple of weeks. The reason for this is because I now have over 7,000 pictures in HQ plus a ton of raw iMovie files. After a while this really chews up the space.

So today I went out and bought a 750GB hard drive which should last me for a while. I am actually now in the process of creating a massive back-up, hence the reason I am late with today's post!

On the training front I'll be heading off to two different Gold's Gyms over the next 4 days as my local gym will be closed during this Japanese holiday period. I'm actually looking forward to training in a new environment (and at a top-class gym!). I love my local gym but they don't have a few of the basics like Leg Press or Calf Press machines.

P.S. Shredders, be sure to check out Suzette's push-up Challenge video below, great way to document your weekly progress Suzette!

Day 5 of 84

Nutrition: I got in every meal today on my pre-determined plan.

Training: Today was a rest day, so no news to report here. Back in full swing tomorrow.
