Day 241: The Truth Will Set You Free

G'day,

Today I fired a shot across the bow...against myself!

I successfully conmpleted a HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) cardio session on a new speed increment.

This is the first time I have been back in this territory since February this year (during the lead up to M2 Judgement Day). This kind of training is brutal, but necessary if burning bodyfat is your main goal.

There is simply no way around it, you have to "do the work" if you want the results.

There are no shortcuts when it comes to burning bodyfat.

Over the years I have experimented with many different forms of cardio like running, swimming, boxing, Tae-Bo, skipping and cycling. I have found that running at high speed intervals works best for me when I'm on a "shred mission".

However, all forms of cardio will work as long as you employ the principle of "progressive overload" and continually push yourself through the pain barrier.

The other factor is to understand how many calories you need to burn on a per session basis in order to meet your pre-determined goals.

Once you understand your required TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) and chunk that figure down to individual workouts your success in meeting your goals becomes a mathematical certainty...if you follow through and execute with absolute precision on a daily basis.

I don't know about you but I find this to be extremely liberating!

Knowing what it takes up-front (in terms of caloric intake and expenditure) and then breaking those numbers down to a specific daily target enables you to predict with extreme accuracy when you can expect to reach your goals.

Knowing the truth about what is required will set you free!

Peace,
Adam Waters NESTA-CPT

excellent work. Jason and I have been sidelined by sickness but are still motivated thanks to you! We have your before and afters etched in our mind. I am already stronger and my arms are showing good muscle tone already thanks to HIIT. Had I known this as a trainer years ago, I would still be in mean lean shape today. But I will again.

You WILL reach your ultimate goal.
You are on fire!
