Day 275: I Got The Flu - 3 Day Rest

G'day,

I have a mild case of the flu so no picture update today. I have decided to take the next three days off training (and blog posting) so hopefully I'll be back on my feet by Day 278, Monday August 13, 2007.

My training was also interrupted by a short flu a few weeks ago. I was so angry at first because, though I was working out hard, I was eating well, sleeping well and not over-training. In the end it turned out great. I was surprised at how much reading, writing, designing and drawing I got done. I had put all that stuff off because it required laying around and I was much too busy for that. It was almost as if my body conspired with my mind and the flu was it's most effective tactic. Once the flu knocked me flat, I got caught up. The flu was not a blessing but the down time was. Clever. My overall good health, however, helped me recover faster. I hope you can find a similar opportunity in your forced down time. Get Well Soon.

Thanks guys for your kind words, I'm actually back to about 90% now and ready to resume full training tomorrow.

Jeff, you are so right mate. The time off has actually been a blessing because it gave me time to re-focus on some "big ideas" I have yet to implement. Also my immune system is pretty strong due to my current good health which has definitely helped me recover faster.
