*Important:

Feel free to use this plan as a template that you can follow. However, this plan is is based on my own personal experience over 3 physique transformation missions. In other words, what works for me may not work for you in the same way.

Success in this game requires research, individual design, real-world testing, monitoring results and making adjustments when necessary. This is your responsibility, no one else can do it for you. However, if you'd like to research further the exact programs I have used (over my first 3 Missions) and will use for M4 Shred you can do so at the links below.

M4 Shred Components: Click each link to learn more.

1) Fat Burning: 16 Principles of BFFM: nutrition, mindset and cardio.

2) Weight Training: Metabolic Surge: 36 Day Rapid Fat Loss System.

3) Six-Pack Training: Flatten Your Abs: 7-Level Training System.

PM Update: Day 2
DAS
= 9/10
CAS = 17/20

G'day Shredders,

Well, as you can tell by the headline of today's PM Post, Christy got me at about 2:00 AM last night! That's right, I was having another one of my sleepless nights when after going to bed I got up again just to take a peek at the latest Shredder action.

Of course, I couldn't help myself, so I stayed up working on my blog and sending Christmas messages to my Fellow Shredders. I think I have a case of ShredderSomnia!

This is becoming a problem for me! I'm so pumped up I can't sleep (flashback to M1) because I am thinking so much about M4:Training Day with Tom Venuto. When you couple that with the daily action in the ShredderSphere that I love to read and comment on it equals a double-barreled case of ShredderSomina.

Does anyone have a natural remedy?

Well, onto today's analysis.

Nutrition: I gave myself a No vote on Meal 1 because I missed it completely. Due to ShredderSomnia I slept in past 8:00AM. However, I did get back on track with all other meals going according to plan so I'm happy with that.

Training: I got in another solid Fat Loss Training Workout with Core Combo with the focus on lower body. My cardio endurance is sky high at the moment as I finished the 20th set of 40 seconds skipping as strong as I started the first.

Accountability: As I missed my deadline of 11:00PM tonight for blog posting I have to give myself another NO. Note to self, get more organized!

Before I sign off today I will go into much more depth tomorrow about the core reason I am currently using the RTP Time Machine. Any guesses as to why?

NewsFlash for East Coast Shredders: Please check Lilla's SU ASAP.

Shredder Pact:

We will focus on the single daily actions that produce results.

We will "burn our bridges" and not look back.

We will never surrender.

Eat Clean,
Shred Hard,
Think BIG!

Cheers,
Adam Waters, NESTA-CPT

Shreddersomina! That's cute. Too excited to sleep. Fair enough. I won't give you too hard of a time. I have a super odd sleep schedule and when my mind is super-active often can't sleep. I do my meditation lying down with my eyes closed without a timer and fall asleep without even knowing it.

All of my sleep remedies involve pretending I'm not trying to sleep. One of my favorites is to not turn off the light and tell myself I'll just lie down for a second before I dust the furniture or some task I don't want to do usually pits my excited mind against my procrastination regarding errands and my procrastination wins a lot of the time.

Anything to keep from thinking about exciting plans or keep my mind from doing sleep math all the time. The math that says if I can fall asleep in this many minutes then I'll be able to get this much sleep, etc.

Turn the alarm clock to where you can't sleep in bed. Oh, and also UN-PLUGGING my computer so it's a hassle to turn it back on helps to keep it from calling me when I need to sleep. Same thing for hiding the tv remote.

I hear Sleepy Time tea works, too. Plus it has a cute bear on it.

Get some sleep! One natural remedy is 2mg Melatonin, along with some valerian root about an hour before bedtime.

Are you stressed out?

You could try:
L-theanine 2oomg, or
5-Hydroxytryptophan (5HTP) with valerian root (50mg)
I've taken 5HTP w/valerian root and it works for me.

That and maybe you should try scheduling yourself some stress-free time - listening to music, meditating, take a yoga class...?

I would say taking a few days off would definitely reset things and do you good, but who am I to think you would actually follow my advice? ;-) You already made a good choice today by only posting once per day. Canceling a few things from a busy schedule to focus on the most important things would be my next advise to taking a few days off to regroup.

I caaaaan't check SU - I'm not a member. I rely on fellow shredders to keep me updated on what's going on in there!

But that's awesome, Adam, keep up the good work. Yes, sleep is good, but it's great that you're just so excited about what's "in the works"!

Great suggestions Christy! I agree with you about the computer, I always just put it sleep (I never turn it off) so whenever I get up at night I only have touch the mouse and it comes alive! But that is a bad habit!

P.S. You water challenge is going great!

Thanks, is that a melatonin pill? Is it natural? I have not taken any pills for years and I'd rather not so I think I should get into meditation and practice some yoga!

Thanks Alex and James, I'm feeling a bit tired now which is a great sign!

P.S. James did you get my comment?

I did Adam - and replied as well. SU is invite-only at this point, so you can't just go to the site and sign up. I think Lilla may have to do the inviting :)
