Day 500: M4 Training Day - Upper Body

G'day Shredders,

Today was THE Big Day.

After 125 days of build up, anticipation and tension, M4 Training Day on Day 500 had finally arrived!

Truth be told, this training session with Tom Venuto really is 500 days in the making as Tom does not ordinarily train people individually anymore.

M4 Training Day Mindset

Therefore, my Mission for M4 Training Day was to "leave absolutely nothing in the gym" by appreciating the magnitude of this once in a lifetime opportunity to train with the best.

I also realized that this session was an awesome opportunity to learn new shredding strategies and tactics, coupled with insane intensity levels that I could implement into my own training routine once I got back to "reality" in Japan. In reality, I was receiving a lifetime of bodybuilding knowledge crammed into one session!

Channeling My "Day 1 Spirit"

Just minutes before Tom and I were due to kick off M4 Training Day I had a momentary flashback to Day 1 - November 8, 2006. On this day (500 days ago) I remember telling myself "Ok man, this is the 'big one', the pain you are about to experience is a necessary and required part of the process in order to turn your life around".

Even though I had made many "promises" like this to myself in the past, this time it actually did feel different. I was willing in body, body and spirit to do whatever it took to turn my life around. I just "knew" a rapid-fire 12 week physique transformation was the perfect metaphor for me to trigger massive changes in all areas of my life.

"Day 1" Sets The Standard

I also "knew" that in order to make my new life a reality I would have to be willing to go through the "pain barrier" multiple times every single training session on M1, and that it all had to start on Day 1!

I firmly believe that Day 1 of any physique transformation is THE day you set the standard for how you will conduct yourself over the next 83 days.

I clearly remember taking a few minutes before I started my first set of barbell rows on M1 to look myself in the eye and make a vow "to give it my all and leave no stone unturned in my M1 transformation quest".

Day 500 Is The "New" Day 1

Today I made another vow to myself, that was to channel my "Day 1 Spirit" into this workout with Tom because in reality this day is "Day 1" of a new phase in my life.

I "know" if I am to reach my future life/transformation goals I have set for myself I would once again have to recalibrate the standards of how I will conduct myself for the next 500 days. This is a necessary and required part of the process to take my life to the next level...and it all starts today!

To be continued...

M4 Training Day Images
And "Live Video" Coming Soon

My Fellow Shredders, words alone cannot adequately describe the intensity of M4 Training Day. My goal here is to give you a first-hand look at the intensity of today's session to possibly plant a seed in your mind about "what it really takes" to transform your physique in rapid time.

I will update this post at a later date with pictures and live video footage from M4 Training Day. However, this is a big job and I am still in the process of converting this raw footage into a suitable web ready format.

Stay tuned to this blog for more info on the "release date".

Until next time...

Eat Clean,
Shred Hard,
Think BIG!

Cheers,

Day 500: Official Pics

P.S. Well, it took me a few days to get these pics from my photographer but here they are. My official Day 500 pics taken overlooking the New York Skyline! This is exactly what I envisioned back on Day 376 when I started Mission 4.

Below is a merged Day 1/Day 500 pic.

Below are my Day 500 RTP Blog Daily pictures for March 22, 2008: Mission 4 - Day 125 of 125.

Yeah first ^^, awesome job man and I understand this feeling of "day 1,start again" because you have to break the habits and give a new vision for your training. Well, I get a question: does Tom go until muscular failure during his trainings?
Have a nice trip with Tom and I wish you a lot of...pain (the sign that it works)
