G'day Shredders,

Can you feel the burn? Is muscle soreness from Day 1 starting to hit you yet?

I will never forget Day 3 of Mission 1. After a heavy biceps session I literally could not extend my forearms beyond 90 degrees the whole day!

However, this pain is a "good pain" for many reasons. Watch the video to find out why.

RTP Group Shred Video: Day 3
Growing Pains?

Inside this video you will discover...

  1. Why muscular soreness is a "good" sign.
  2. Day 3: Consolidation is the key.
  3. Mindset Tip: How to harness "negative motivation"

Until tomorrow...

Eat Clean,
Shred Hard,
Think BIG!

Cheers,
Adam Waters, NESTA-CPT

P.S. Below are my Day 354 pics for October 28, 2007: Mission 3 Phase 2 - Day 59 of 70 (RTP Group Shred - Day 3 0f 14)

Hey Adam,

Thanks for another great vid. That brings back memories of when I first started doing weights. I have always been and still am a runner at heart so when I started doing weights I suffered the exact same problem as you. To stretch your arms out straight was pure agony and you really thought that something was gonna snap!! That must have taken about 4 days to completelty dissapear, and then after that there was always the aches but nothing like that.

Well I have shredded extra hard today with a mamouth superset session in the gym and then a few extra sets for good luck. Had the tuna salad and am all set for swimming with the kids in an hour or so.

Adam, continued thanks to you, and to all the shredders keep burnin that fat.

Take care,

Andrew

Hey Adam. I have a couple questions for you.

1) Do you need to maintain a calorie deficit to lose body fat, and if so, how much of a deficit is good?
2) Do you need to "eat back" your calories to get to the minimum amount of calories you should have if you've worked out?

Hey Adam,
I sent in my pics, don't know why you did not get them. Let me know - I didn't drop out!

Congratulations on being at Day 3 everybody.

Way to go, Josh and Bec!

Joni! So glad you're still here. I just knew you didn't drop out. I'm sure it was just some sort of glitch. Have a great Day 3!

Adam, great video. I noticed I was hurting a lot yesterday (My Day 3). I thought it was for other reasons. But I think your explanation is more true. Once again, it's like your psychic. I'm going to start reading along in your 84 days book.

Hi Adam:
Really noticing a huge difference in you pictures posted today - especially in your lats and shoulders. Awesome work - can concur as I am still feeling the effects from my upper bod workout on Thursday.
Keep moving fellow shredders.

Hi Joni, I waited as long as I could (9:30 PM my time) before I uploaded Day 354 and I made a at 7:00PM comment in Day 353 asking for pics. 8:00PM is the deadline because I really need my
sleep but much earlier than 8:00PM is preferred.

When I get home from work today I will put up your Day 3 pics but can you please have your daily pics in well before 8:00PM (my time) even if you have to get a day ahead.

Also on the Day 349 post (original) I said if anyone wanted me to cover their face I would. If you want me to do it for you just let me know.

Cheers,
Adam

You are not wrong Andrew! The first few days were brutal.

Shred hard!

Hi Jen,

Yes, you do need a caloric defiicit to lose fat. Go at least 500 cal below maintenance levels with food intake and also burn more calories through exercise for better results. For a complete book on this topic see my "Fat burning Nutrition/Mindset" mentor Tom Venuto. BFFM is the best there is.

Cheers,
Adam

Awesome Christy! I think you just may be a psychic! What's today's video about??

Thanks Diane, are you feeling it more this time around on Surge?

Awesome Bec, I'm glad you are feeling positive about GS and the support, it is like "real-time" mastermind!

Keep shredding!

Bec! I'm so glad u posted. It's the easiest way for me to check out your blog and wish you well. I agree it's great motivation.

Adam, me psychic? Remember how I didn't even guess right about the t-shirts? But I'll guess. You're going to write something about the big picture. ?? I'll just have to tune in and find out the real scoop. I suspect my crystal ball is made of lead.

Adam, the side effect I'm seeing of this group shred is the amazing focus from everyone. There is just an infectuous excitement that I'm reading in every blog I comment on. I've made it my personal goal to comment daily on every single blog along with posting my own daily blog. Andrew, Bec and Josh, you are all awesome for sticking this out so far. We are making history here! Go team!!!!!

Mike

PS: I'm loving the videos.

everyone - even at day 3 this group has already formed a great bond! this is what they call "synergy" let's all keep working together towards the same goal - being fit! everyone is doing awesome!!
