Day 481: Helicopter Tour Of Florida!

G'day Shredders,

My last full day in Florida ended with a very cool helicopter tour of the West Coast of Florida courtesy of my online buddy Al, who like Jeff is currently residing in Jacksonville.

Al, BFFM Success Story And Chopper Pilot!

Al and I have been communicating online via email since he purchased Tom Venuto's Burn The Fat via my blog (Al is a BFFM success story losing 20 kg's in 4 months!) about 6 months ago. At that time Al was living in Hong Kong and offered me a helicopter tour of Hong Kong if I ever visited there again!

An Amazing Twist Of Fate!

As fate would have it Al recently moved to Florida which coincided with my trip to Orlando for the Conference! So, two days ago Al let me know that the "Skies of Florida are waiting" and offered to take me on an aerial tour of Florida. What a spin-out!

I'll cut right to the chase and show you the pics now...

Live Pics From The Chopper!

1) The man himself, Al, my online buddy and chopper pilot!

2) At the Kissimee airport before take-off.

3) The view from the cockpit.

4) Rising to 300 ft. above Orlando

5) Overlooking an Orlando golf course

6) What Florida is famous for: The Everglades!

7) An aerial view of our destination, Cedar Key: a remote town on the West Coast of Florida which was about 1 hour from Orlando.

8) Approaching the Cedar Key runway.

9) Getting ready to touchdown.

10) A very soft landing! Great piloting Al!

11) Al radioed ahead to have a taxi pick us up at the airport and take us downtown to this great restaurant ooverlooking the water for lunch (Caesar salad of course!). The local people were very friendly too.

12) Me and Al after our lunch (just to the side of the restaurant).

13) Back in the chopper for the ride home. You can see from the arrow the restaurant where we had lunch.

14) The Central Florida Power Station (might be nuclear!)

15) Sunset touch down in Orlando, another perfect landing from Al!

16) As we were approaching the Kissimee Airport for touch down a Lear Jet whizzed past us! Here is the jet on the ground, wonder who was in there?!

Before I sign off I'd like to say a massive thank you to Al for his generosity in giving me such a cool experience and the time he spent (he also had to fly from Jacksonville to meet me) to pick me up and drop me off at Disney.

Thank you Al! I'll never forget this experience!

Cheers,
AJ

P.S. I'm now back in Japan and I'll be updating the previous two days (gone by fast due to International Date Line!) tomorrow.

Training: I got in a Lactic Acid workout after I got back into Disney from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM, very intense leg session.

Adam, I saw this quote in an email today and it made me think of you! You are on a "mission" (#4) and you will surely succeed!
