G'day Shredders,

Well, the Council has spoken!

Thank you very much for your comments, feedback and input on yesterday's blog post regarding the future of the Shredder Council.

Sorry I haven't replied individually to each comment, but I will address your feedback in today's video below.

P.S. As you can see from the quality of my picture today I'm using my old "Mission 1" camera. I plan on getting a new camera tomorrow.

RTP Group Shred Video: Day 11
The Council Speaks

Inside this video you will discover...

  1. What Is A "Shred": Andrew made a very good point in his comment so I addressed this topic first.
  2. New Council Accountability: Some better ideas to keep ourselves accountable when the 14 day GS ends.
  3. Council Weekly Round-up: How we can harness the Council Nav Bar more effectively.
  4. Group Shred 2: The best time to start a new GS (this one will blow you away!).
  5. Council Protege's: Why you are gonna love this idea even more!

Hi Adam,
Loved your video today as usual. My, but you have so many ideas, and all so good. Am I right in thinking that this Shred is over after Day 14, but not really....and we´ll continue for the 3 months (12 weeks)? Then, a new one begins on January 7th? Can´t wait to see us in JANUARY!
Tell us how we can help you.

Hi!
Those were good points in the comments and on the video about the timing of the next shred. I was thinking more in terms of myself since I will be continuing but for new ones after the first of the year would be better and then like you said we would have more results to show as well. My mission 2 should be ending around then I think so it will be good timing. I'm up for whatever goes on here, this has been a great experience!

Adam:
Noticed increased mass on your body...great job! Regarding the change of date to launch the new shredder, that is a great idea...was thinking about that last night as well. My own 12 week program comes to an end Dec 24th, so I've got to stay the course, and being part of this team keeps me moving.

Hi Adam,

I like the idea of weekly shredder roundups and posting new weekly pictures on your website and daily pictures on our blog. It will certainly keep us accountable. Interesting that Jan 7 is Day 83. We should all be looking buff by then! Count me in.

Hello Adam,
Thank you for your thoughtfulness about those of us new to RTP transformation. I am game for a 2nd shred mission on January 07. Also the idea of weekly posting of pictures in your blog during the off mission is fabulous ( as long as I do not find it displayed in surprising venues). ;)
P.S. A One year long congratulation is at hand and is fast approaching.

all great ideas. i thought the dec. 3 date was good...but as others said the holiday meals will be too tempting...but can be doable. i liked the idea of ending the calendar year with a big bang! still can!!! i also like the idea of starting the year off with a bang as well! as Christy mentioned in last post comments...whatever She is doing, i am doing! "This is the beginning of a beautiful relationship."

Hey Adam! I think January 7 is great... It ends just before I start school. I also like the idea of weekly photos. That way you don't burn out by posting our pics everyday and the dual accountability factor is just great mate.

Hello Adam. Do you think 7 days of cardio a week without rest days is good for losing fat, or should I keep it to 6 days only to prevent the loss of muscle mass? I feel like I could've burnt more fat if I didn't take any rest days.

Hi Lynda, Thank you! and yes you are 100% right. This "Shred" will finish the daily accountability phase on Day 14 and then shift to a weekly accountability phase for the final 10 weeks.

Cheers,
Adam Waters

Wow! Thanks for mentioning my name in today's video. I feel like I'm part of the family (a distant cousin who didn't RSVP in time.) ;D

So many good ideas brewing! Very exciting! I can't believe how much affect posting daily to a blog is having on my motivation and accountability. Wish I had done this years before! And visiting everyone's blog is so much fun. Thanks so much for thinking big and leading the effort Adam!

Glad to hear you are on board Debbie! Keep shredding!

Thanks Miriam, rest assured your pics will not be appearing anywhere else. In face your images are hosted on real-time-physique.com (not Blogger) for extra privacy.

Hi Jen, I come from the Tom Venuto school of thought on cardio which is at its basic: "Let your results dictate your approach" and "Do as little or as much cardio as you require to achieve your goal weight/lbm"

A major tip I can give you is to mix up your cardio so you don't get adaption to any one particular form which will hopefully minimize muscle loss.

Adam Waters

Hey Adam, I apologise for my lack of comments regarding future shreds. Downloading your content rich videos is a real problem for me with sloooooooowww, speeds here.
I am trying to change my SP to take care of the problem but that may take a while. I know that you know I'm fully committed to whatever you have in mind and will fully comply with whatever everyone agrees too. In all probability I'll be away until Jan 14 so starting on the 7th may be a problem for me. I won't have access to technology. Other than that "BRING IT ON DUDE"

Adam! You are looking great in your photos. I cannot get over your chest and shoulders! Totally fab! The blurry pic reminds me of the photos on my blog. lol.

I love the new mission ideas! I'm all for it. I totally dig on the weekly updates, and since I took a day 0 pic (thanks to Suzette!) it will be my day 84! OMG. I have a million ideas for my blog now, too. My brain is exploding, too. Can't wait to hear what's next.

Also, if Dougal is going to be away for the first week, I just wanted to let you know, I'll help out with his "shredders" until he gets back.

Adam, I started my blog as a direct result of your article about accountability on the Burn the Fat Inner Circle. When I started it, I never thought I'd be this involved. I love all the ideas you have and I'm here for the long haul. You can count on me to continue shredding hard and to help out anybody else who comes along and wants to join us on this journey.

Mike

The coolest thing Michael is that you took action my friend, exactly what I had hoped for when I wrote that article.

Keep shredding mate,

Sorry for being out of the circulation, Adam! My previous days were a little bit busy. Anyways, I like the "Council Weekly Round-up" idea of posting a weekly accountability picture on your blog after day 14 to continue see progress and put pressure on us and so as not to load you much considering our own daily schedules and obligations.
About starting to have Council proteges is good, as it will also boost pressure on us and at the same time inspire others like what you have achieved, Adam.
Thanks for piloting this great move, man! This is a fitness phenomena.

Hey Adam,

Well you know my thoughts. All good my friend. I think this all looks amazing. The original shredders get 12 weeks under their belt and will have walked the walk before helping others along the same path.

Fantastic...

Take care,

Andrew
