Day 484: Disney World Report Card

G'day Shredders,

Back on Day 469 I made a silent (but strong) vow to myself not to let my Orlando Vacation derail my six-pack goal for M4.

Judgment Day X 2

This NYC Judgment Day Shred with Tom Venuto on Day 500 and ECSS Judgement Day with my Fellow Shredders 2 days later takes precedence over everything else going on in my life right now.

The reason is simple...I have been working towards this goal for over 100 days now and I am not about to sabotage myself now with the finish line in sight. Truth be told, the opportunity to train with Tom Venuto will quite literally be 500 days in the making.

So, upon arriving in Florida on Day 470 I once again vowed not to allow anything take my focus off my M4/ECSS goals.

A Test Of Will

While I have trained my mind and body to expect success, I have also trained my mind to believe that all I have done since Day 1 will count for nothing if I don't follow through and get the job done.

I am not being melodramatic, I really believe this. I can't expect a bodybuilding legend like Tom Venuto or my Fellow Shredders to take me seriously if I can't keep up my end of the bargain by arriving in NYC in the best shape of my life like I have promised.

In light of this I approached my Disney World vacation as a test of will against the elements (junk food at every turn and drinks out with my fellow attendees). To tell you the truth I was not able to relax during this trip as M4 Judgment Day was at the front of my mind every waking hour (it still is).

DWS: Nutrition Report Card

I am pleased to report that I was 100% compliant to my nutrition plan throughout my Disney World Shred (DWS). In the 12 days I was in Disney decided beforehand to allow myself 1 "reward meal" on the 2nd last day if I stuck to my nutrition plan 100%. I did just that!

This means that of the 72 meals I consumed during this 12 day period, 71 of these meals were compliant (I ate a ton of Caesar salad!) This was in spite of the free drinks and free buffet breakfasts & lunches (included in my prize) along with the staggering array of junk food available at almost every turn.

DWS: Cardio Report Card

On the training side of the equation I exceeded my cardio goal by 1 mp/h by completing the final cycle of my HIIT Cardio at 12 m/ph (19.7 km/h) during the last couple of days. Throughout the 12 day period I did a form of cardio (HIIT or Steady State) for 11 of of those days.

DWS: Training Report Card

However, the one area where I didn't complete my quota was weight training as I only got in 3 sessions for the duration of my stay. I had planned 6 sessions so I did fall short due to a combination of jetlag, late-night seminar events and two VIP dinner receptions. Truth be told I would usually get back to my hotel and crash out around 8:00 PM and get up at 4:00 AM the next morning.

DWS: Final Assessment

Overall, I am pleased I followed through on my pre-determined plan at a 95%+ compliance rate throughout my Disney World Shred.

However, the real proof is in the pictures isn't it? As we all know pictures don't lie! Unless my eyes deceive me (happens a lot!) I believe I did make incremental progress on that sixer since Day 469.

One thing is for sure, it's now crunch time! Carving out a genuine sixer by Day 500 will require 100% compliance to my pre-determined plan over the next 15 days.

Time will tell...

Peace,
AJ

P.S. I'll resume real-time accountability tomorrow (I was unable to complete RTA while in Orlando because my laptop did not have the "Pages" software I use to create those charts.

P.S.S. I have temporarily moved the ShredderSphere daily links to the right-hand nav bar until I figure out a better system for displaying daily links. The reason I have done this is because this daily linking system was the major factor that contributed to my Blogger Lock-Out recently. To Blogger's Bots, the same links posted everyday looks like an "automated blog".

Adam, your drive and determination continues to inspire me. I know I come no where near your dedication to sticking to a plan.

Adam, kudos to you for keeping 95% compliant despite your crazy schedule and the food temptations. I do see a difference in your pics. Your abs look more defined.
